When connecting to your server through remote desktop.
Step-by-step guide
Windows 10 & 11 operating systems:
- In the search box on the taskbar, type Remote Desktop Connection.
- Select Remote Desktop Connection.
- Click the Show Options in the bottom left of the window.
- Under Computer type the name of the server.
- Under username type your domain followed by the username.
- For example app\user1.vXXXX.
- Press connect and input your password.
- You should now be connected to the server. If you experience any issues please give our support line a call and we can assist further.
Mac based computers:
- Open the App Store and search for “Windows App”. Select the result with that name.
- Click “Get” to install the application.
- After the installation is complete click “Open” or navigate to the Applications folder and double click the Windows App for your Remote Desktop connection.
- To add the hosted server click on the "+" sign in the top left and select add PC.
- Enter the IP Addressor Server Address of the remote computer in the “PC name” field. Then click "Add User Account...".
- Enter the username and password of the user you are logging in with and click "Add".
- Click "Add" on the bottom of the menu.
- If you see a “certificate couldn’t be verified” message, click continue.
- You should now be connected to the server. If you experience any issues please give our support line a call and we can assist further.
